The Fall of Rome

The reason for the fall of Rome is still under question and examination by many historians. When Rome was at its best it was sometimes referenced as "Queen of the Earth." One of the reasons why people think Rome fell was the raising of the taxes. Because of these taxes being raised many people were unable to pay. This caused people to be arrested. Some merchants were considered being unfair with their prices. Another theory that historians have been looking at is that of Constantine converting to Christianity. This could have caused things in Rome to become "unstable". Because of Rome being a city it was heavily populated, therefore sickness was easily an epidemic. Rome's military was falling apart and could not preform things such as protecting themselves. Germanic tribes invading Rome could have also been a major reason for the fall of Rome. They displaced many civilizations with their invasion and corrupted Rome as a whole. One of the other theories is lack of communication between the emperor & the village. A more reasonable theory would be that Rome was one of the many places that just happened to evolve into something different over time. Besides a chaotic time, the fall of Rome can be looked at as a positive thing. Civilizations now have a better insight as to how to be successful and avoid things that might have a negative affect on them.
